Johnson did what good goalies do tonite. He kept the Pens in it early until they got their legs, and the Pens shut out the Canes 3-0 tonight. Johnson came into tonite 2nd in the NHL in GAA (1.16) and 2nd in save percentage(.960), and both will have improved after tonights performance. He has not allowed a regulation goal in the past two games. Sorry, the entire team plays better in front of Johnson right now, and they need to ride that. It is on Fleury now to find his game when he gets the chance next, but let Johnson ride this out.
Very impressive effort tonight by Pascal Dupuis, who had two goals, and several chances at the hat trick. He and Letestu are now tied for second on the team in goals with 4. Yeah, they both have more than Malkin.
It was good to see that Talbot is still alive tonight!
Letestu after a hot start went his 5th straight without a point, but had some chances tonight.
Letang came into tonight leading all NHL defensemen with 11 points.
Engelland is so FUN to watch, and is a great addition to this team. With he and Orpik out there, Let the bodies hit the floor!!
It was good to see Asham get on the board. I still think he is going to make a nice difference on this team this season.
