Including former players Butch Gohring and Bobby Nystrom (visiting) they all thought that what the Islanders did that night including the hit on Tangradi was "getting respect," and that it had to be done. They also said that they were not sure what Gilles did wrong on this shot either? Wow, the classlessness even runs over to the alumni. Mario Lemieux said after the incident on Long Island that the NHL had failed to send a message with its relatively minor discipline, and he was mocked. Hmmmmmmm.........who still thinks that Bettman, Campbell and crew got their point across?
