Islanders' Trevor Gillies ejected after Clutterbuck hit

Listen to this...Finally signs of intelligence. Milbury is absolutely correct in putting the onus on the Islanders organization for controlling this animal. It is obvious that Garth Snow and Jack Capuano are classless idiots, but maybe if enough pressure comes down from the league and other teams they will have no choice. Go back to my rants post game when they ambushed the Penguins. Suspending the coach for this players actions, and taking draft choices from the team for the next head hunting trip might get the message across. If not, again the players need to get rid of this clown in their own way. I am watching the Islanders broadcast and they are a joke. Including former players Butch Gohring and Bobby Nystrom (visiting) they all thought that what the Islanders did that night including the hit on Tangradi was "getting respect," and that it had to be done. They also said that they were not sure what Gilles did wrong on this shot either? Wow, the classlessness even runs over to the alumni. Mario Lemieux said after the incident on Long Island that the NHL had failed to send a message with its relatively minor discipline, and he was mocked. Hmmmmmmm.........who still thinks that Bettman, Campbell and crew got their point across?

  1. It looks like Gillies will never learn that violence in hockey is unacceptable. I hope he gets suspended at least 12 games for this latest incident.
