Pens lose 4-1 to CBJ

The Penguins had 80 goals and 164 points worth of production sidelined due to injury tonight, when you add Chris Kunitz to the list of injured Penguins. The Blue Jackets took advantage of a depleted line up and dispatched the Penguins with relative ease. Tyler Kennedy netted his 10th of the season for the Penguins only goal tonight. It was tough to watch them tonight, as it did not seem like there was the fire I would have expected for a team that knows it needs to grind it out if they want to win. It was the worst game I have seen Letang play in a LONG LONG time. He was -3, as was Staal, and Brooks Orpik was a -2 tonight. They need to get more from Staal who has one goal in his past 9 games, and more offense from the blue line, using Letang, Goligoski and Martin to generate points. There will be plenty of games to endure this month where goals are tough to come by, but the Penguins can survive that IF they play with more fire than I saw tonight. Next up...............the Kings.
