THIS IS WHAT THE BATTLE IS FOR!!!!The Penguins season started on October 4th, 2008 and today is June 8th, 2009! The Pens played 82 hard fought regular season games and 22 playoff games thus far..........that is a total of 104 physical wars. The mental and physical grind of a Stanley Cup playoff run is gruelling. There is no backing into that cup. A bad day by the opposing QB does not get you the trophy. In order to win that trophy the Pens will have to have played 24 post season games, and win 16 of them! This is why winning this championship is so satisfying.........and getting this close to it and failing is soul crushing. Lets crush some souls in Motown boys!!
