Pens steal a badly needed two points

SWEET SHOOTOUT GOAL BY THE TEST TUBE!

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS!
COON BURIES IT!

THE LEAGUE OWNED YOTES CAN KISS OUR ASSES!

Well, this game started as most do when Fleury is in the net. The Pens found themselves down 2-0 with barely seven minutes gone in the game. And as he did the night before when he scored the Pens only 2 goals, Crosby started what would be a more successful come back when he turned a turnover into a goal. Three minutes later, Malkin confirmed he was still on the team when he scored his first goal since October 21. After falling behind 3-2, Chris Kunitz scored on a 5-3 to tie the game. After neither team scored in the third, Mark Letestu wins it in the third round of the shootout for the Pens. Hey, 2 points is 2 points but lets not plan the parade. Phoenix was a struggling hockey team, without its captain, Shane Doan, and one of its best defensemen in Ed Jovanovski. That said, I was glad to see the following:

The Pens did not fold despite another game where they spotted an opponent an early lead;

Crosby put the team on his back in each of the past two games.....he is now second in scoring in the league with 19 points and 4th in goal scoring;

Paul Martin got on the board for the first time in 8 games;

Letestu made a big contribution after a similar quiet time;

Bylsma' s mind games continued as he pairs solid, rugged defenesman Deryk Engellend with Orpik exposing him to top 4 minutes this week........Engellend makes a mistake then basically gets the equivalent of benched, logging only 6:23 of ice time......you Disco Dan, didn't Shero spend big bucks in the offseason on Martin and Michalek to be top 4 defensemen? Let's mess up another pleasant surprise with your minor league coaching tactics....you may have missed this, but Engellend is a solid number 6 or 7 guy.....you know 12 minutes a game, some nasty hits, solid shifts? The AHL is calling you Dan, and the sound is getting LOUDER and LOUDER by the WEEK;

So we thankfully take the two points and hope that the 3 day rest will allow guys like Letang and GoGo to heal up from some bumps and bruises, and maybe get ZM some time to get his game together in general.
