Not sure about anybody else, but it is getting pretty goddamn old watching this team give away games on home ice. This one might have made me as sick as the third period collapse against the Bruins. This wasted come back highlights the issues on this team. After a brilliant comeback, the Pens have a power play and under 2 minutes to PROTECT A LEAD. So lets start with the dipshit behind the bench. Why not put out the equivalent of your penalty kill unit in that situation? Did they get more points if they win 3-1 v 2-1?????????? Nice move Bylsma.....but still, sorry the ass of the night award goes to Malkin. He ruined an otherwise excellent performance with a DUMB play throwing the puck toward the middle of the ice, towards the goal. Carry it deep, dump it in the corner and get BACK!! Well, it is picked off and the play turns up ice, and of course with the game on the ice, the flower WILTED. Then in OT, Michalek falls, Martin goes down faster than Hillary on Comrie, and Dubinsky and Callahan turn the Flower inside out!! Two points become one point just like that. Home ice my ass! 0 for 6 on the powerplay, with a game tying shortie given up with under 2 minutes left. In short, their season story, stupid coaching, lazy play from one of their "stars," power play is a weapon AGAINST, defense makes key mistakes, and the Flower wilts...........see ya Wednesday.
