Wow, it is finally here! The first game between the Caps and the Pens, since the Penguins sent them packing in the second round of last years playoffs. This game has the usual intrigue when these two teams get together, with the Capitals atop the Eastern conference with 68 points, and the Pens 4th with 63, the Pens need this game to keep the Capitals within striking distance. Also, the Ovechkin/Crosby rivalry remains hot, with Ovagkin two points ahead of Sid with 65 to Sids 63, but in a strange turn of events, Sid is ahead of Ovagkin in goals with 32 to the great apes 30. Over the past two years, the Capitals along with the Red Wings have joined the Flyers to become one of the teams the Pens and their fans LOVE to hate. The whining from the owner, GM, coach, players and fans during last years playoffs made them one of my favorite clubs to hate. The hollywood styles of Ovagkin and Green make it very easy to hate them as well. It will surprise very few if these two clubs get together again this spring in Lord Stanleys playoffs to make even more fireworks. I am not sure any more who is the most hated club between the three, any opinons there are welcome, as we see all three, plus the Rangers and Senators (two teams on the fringe of that club) over the next week and a half. It should be fun!
