Not really surprised by the outcome, but Georges is right...timing bad......for those who do not know, Laraques was born in Haiti, and has family currently unaccounted for in that country. It may be tough to argue that the Habs do not seem to have a place for Laraque, but they are stuck with his contract as they have noted, so there would be no reason to not wait on delivering such negative news to a guy in his situation. It may be the "right" hockey move, but it is a classless and thoughtless move in relation to the timing of it. Best wishes to BGL and lets hope his family is okay.
