It was so nice to see the Pens shut those bandwagon whiny fans up at the end of the game today. The Penguins did not play their best game in terms of getting to their forecheck game. Part of the reason for that was the fact they were killing penalties a lot of the night, including two 5 on 3's. Their power play was horrible, 0 for 5, and gave up a short handed goal. That said, I like the compete level of the Penguins tonight, as they were physical with this team all night long, and hung in there to take the win despite being a bit off their game all night long. You can chalk this win up to Fleury making big save after big save, and Crosby doing what he does. On that note, Crosby had a goal and an assist to extend his scoring streak to 23 games, giving him 29 goals for the season. The other difference tonight was the addition of Michalek and Martin, who blocked shots and made big plays all night. Orpik and Letang were very physical, knocking bodies around all night. I truly despise everything about this team, and most especially the bulk of their fans, who whine and crew for every call, just like their softies Green and Semin. The fact that a good many of them cheered when Letang took a slap shot to the body and went down, then booed when he got up says all you need to know about that crowd. Period. A big two points for the Pens tonight! I cannot wait for the excuses we will hear next Wednesday night on 24/7, that should be very funny! By the way Yoko, we hate you too! A lot!
