Pens are now 17-8-2 for the season, and 10-0-1 in the past 11 games. Crosby remains unreal recording another hat trick, and running his point scoring streak to 14 games. In those 14 games, he has 15 goals and 14 assists! He is also dominant in the faceoff circle, helping to kill penalties, backchecking like a demon, and just winning battles along the walls in all three zones. As far an an all around game, there really is nobody better. Crosby's longest point scoring streak of his career was 19 games in 2006-07. To remind us all how good LeMagnifique was, his longest streak was 46 games in 1989-90!! Malkin was pointless tonight for the third straight game unless you want to give him an assist on Atlanta's second goal. The "Buzz Line" of Connor, Letestu, and Kennedy was incredible again tonight, just keeping Atlanta bottled in its own zone and buzzing around Pavelec creating havoc all night. It is fun to watch those guys do their thing. Again, tonight Fleury was very solid, and the defense was as well. Now that Michalek and Martin have settled in with each other, the Pens have one of the league's best defensive corps, with its top two pairings, Orpik/Legang and Michalek/Martin as good as it gets. Simply put, JUST ENJOY THIS RIDE FOR AS LONG AS IT LASTS.
